| | This Month's Walk Talks with Josie is all about our Halloween Event!
Do you have children? Grandchildren? Do you know any kids?
Well then spread the word for the first-ever trick or treat fundraiser on Friday, October 26th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Humane Society of Broward County.
Children will be asked to dress in friendly costumes (as to not scare the animals, no masks please) and purchase treats to pass out to the animals. They also will be invited to participate in our mini-fair upstairs with games, prizes, candy, pumpkin patch photos, costume contest and more!
No RSVP necessary. Treats and goodies available for purchase.

| Dog Days at Castaway Island Saturday, October 20 and Sunday, October 21
9:00am - 5:00pm Castaway Island at TY Park 3300 N Park Road
Hollywood, Florida
There will be a designated area for dogs weighing 25 pounds or less for all sessions. Donations of dog and cat food, treats, blankets, and toys will be accepted on behalf of the homeless animals at Broward County shelters. A few rules apply: All dogs must be off leash when inside the facility and must be sociable and well behaved. Proof of current rabies vaccination and County license tag are required. Other than lifeguards, no humans will be allowed inside the water playgrounds. Finally, dogs are limited to no more than two sessions per day, and dogs must be at least 4 months of age to participate.
For more information, call T.Y. at 954-357-8811. The park’s regular weekend and holiday gate entrance fee of $1.50/person (children 5 and under free) will be in effect for these events.
Pricing/ticketing info: Admission is $5 per dog per 50-minute session (plus applicable Florida sales tax), with sessions beginning on the hour from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. |
