Subject: VPHi elections of the Board of Trustees

Dear VPHi members,
the mandate of the current members of the Board of Trustees will soon expire and, by statute, the General Assembly will have to appoint a new Board. As a result of the recent call for nominations, we received the following candidatures:

- For the position of President:
One single (1) candidate:
Prof Peter Hunter (Auckland Bioengineering Institute – The University of Auckland)

- For the position of Financial Auditors:
Two (2) candidates for two (2) positions available:

Prof Alfons Hoekstra (University of Amsterdam) - Alfons Hoekstra served as Financial Auditor of the Institute for the past 2 years (from 2017 to 2019): he was nominated for a second mandate.
Prof Georgios Stamatakos (National Technical University of Athens)

Additional information on the candidates can be found here: https://tinyurl.com/VPHi-electionBoT

Considering we the number of candidatures is equal to the positions available we request the General Assembly to block approve the current list.
We shall consider your silence as a sign of agreement. The composition of the Board of Trustees will then be ratified at the upcoming General Assembly on 4 Oct 2019:

On behalf of the Community, we take the opportunity to thank the
outgoing President, Prof Marco Viceconti and the Financial Auditor Karl Stroetmann for having served at best the VPH Institute in the past years.

Best regards,
Martina
