Subject: VPHi New Video: "Digital Twin: The Journey Towards Better Healthcare"

Dear VPHi members,

We are happy to present you the new animation video released by the VPH Institute: "Digital Twin: The Journey Towards Better Healthcare": https://youtu.be/3-uBFx-LhWI

What is a Digital Twin? How can it be used to make our life better? This short video explains in very simple terms how through the use of computer simulations we can create digital versions of ourselves (Digital Twins) to improve the understanding, prevention, diagnosis and treatment of a disease.

Together with the video, we also released a brochure on the recent VPHi Success stories: http://www.vph-institute.org/upload/vphi-success-stories-2020_5fa17c84ed118.pdf

The applications range from the understanding of cause of medical problems over the design/testing of drugs and devices in virtual populations to teaching instruments for medical doctors, covering a variety of organ systems. This is just a first selection and we plan to publish many more in the coming years, so don't hesitate to get in touch with us if you have a success story to report.

We hope you will enjoy this new communication material, which it is free for the VPHi community to use to explain what in silico medicine is, task that had proven to be difficult in the past, especially when talking to a not specialised audience.

Feel free to get in touch with us if you have any questions.
Best regards
VPHi team
