Dear SMART Recovery Volunteers,

After many months of planning and programming we are excited to announce the rollout of VolunteerHQ (VHQ), SMART Recovery’s volunteer portal, within the next week. Volunteers will be able to access this secured portal at the top of our homepage, next to the Current Volunteers tab. Due to the scope of ideas to help our volunteers, the portal will continue to evolve with additional phased rollouts.

Here is what you need to know about Phase 1:

• The portal will link directly to our database, allowing us to speed up the processes for registering new volunteers & meetings and making changes to existing meetings, while reducing errors.

• The current Volunteer Registration Forms and Meeting Change Request Form have been disabled to allow us to transfer data into our new SMART Information System (SIS). If you need to register a meeting or make a change to an existing meeting while forms are inactive, please email me at mgilbert@smartrecovery.org

• When the portal goes live, you will need to register and create a password to access the portal. This step ensures that the information we have for you is up-to-date. Once your login is set up, you will use it to access the forms mentioned above as well as additional resources as we move forward with additional phases.

Our National Office team and IT partners at Transom have worked to make the transition to VHQ as seamless as possible. If you experience any issues during registration or using the portal, or have feedback, please use the “Contact Us” form on the portal to provide details.
