Subject: Help Your Pet Adjust When You Travel: A Guided Grounding Practice

Healing Your Animal Connection

Hi Friend,

Healing Vibrations to You!

Late summer often means more comings and goings — trips, sitters, kennels, houseguests, changing schedules.

Even when your animal isn't the one traveling, they feel the shift in energy: a suitcase by the door, a different routine, unfamiliar footsteps in the house.

Animals are exquisitely sensitive to change in rhythm, even more than change in place.

This week's practice is about helping your animal (and you) find steadiness amid the coming and going.

This Week's Gentle Practice

This exercise supports emotional grounding during travel and schedule disruption.

Whether you're the one leaving, someone is coming to stay, or your animal is adjusting to a sitter's care, their nervous system is doing extra work to track "what's normal now."

Today we offer a few minutes of grounding they can return to no matter who's coming or going.

I invite you:

Watch the 3-minute 50-second guided practice

Settling Together:

  • Sit comfortably with your animal nearby, even if you won't be together for the coming days.

  • Place one hand over your heart and one below your belly button.

  • Breathe slowly, letting your body soften.

  • Bring to mind the image of your animal, wherever they'll be this week.

  • With each exhale, send a feeling of steadiness toward them.

          Silently offer the message:

"Even when I'm not there, my love stays with you."
          "You are held."
"We will find our rhythm again."

  • Notice any tension you're carrying about the change ahead and let it soften.

  • Imagine a thread of connection between you and your animal that doesn't break with distance.

  • Take one final grounding breath.

Reflection:
Before moving on with your day, notice that connection doesn't require proximity; it requires intention.

Animals often sense our energy around a transition more than the transition itself.

Ask yourself:

How can I bring a feeling of steadiness to my animal this week, even amid the coming and going?

You can return to this practice anytime travel or schedule changes arise.

Thank you for sharing this moment with me and with your animal.

🌿Jetlag Relief Essence

Even animals who never leave the house can feel a version of "jetlag" when their people's schedules shift — later returns, early departures, unfamiliar faces caring for them.

This essence helps alleviate symptoms of jetlag, supporting a smoother return to routine for animals and people alike as the body's internal rhythm catches up to reality.

Many pet parents keep this on hand throughout travel season — for their animals, and for themselves after a long trip home.
