Happy New Year!
Here's a warm welcome to the new subscribers to the Healing Your Animal community and a heartfelt connection to existing subscribers.
January carries a quieter, inward energy—for both people and animals. If you’re feeling the shift from holiday busyness to winter stillness, you’re not alone—and neither is your animal.
Why this January feels different:
· Numerology: We’ve moved from a 9 year of completion into a 1 year of new beginnings—a natural reset point.
· Astrology: The January 3 Wolf Moon supermoon amplified emotional renewal, inner nurturing, and intention-setting for the year ahead.
· Chinese New Year: We’re transitioning from the year of the Snake (shedding and renewal) into the Fire Horse – bringing momentum, passion, and dynamic change.
When we understand the energy we’re moving through, we can choose how to meet it—with more compassion for ourselves and our animals.
As someone who supports animals through energetic transitions, I’m always listening to how my own nervous system needs care too.
I did something different this year. I went to Kauai, Hawaii the first 9 days of December. It was great being in the warmer, sunnier climate while it was dark, cold, and rainy in the Pacific Northwest. It made a difference having a less stressful holiday season and gave me the energy to clear out my closet, drawers, and cabinets, refreshing the energy in my home. I'm refreshed and able to serve my clients and community with new energy.
When Our Energy Slows, Our Animals Notice
Now that the holidays are over, the winter/January "blues" may set in. Going from a hectic December to a slow January in the darker time of year is challenging for a lot of people. And when you are down, your pet responds to your energy being more lethargic.
