This week's Energetic Forecast:

Mercury stops retrograde tomorrow (but we will probably still feel those effects..) and Neptune starts retrograde. Mercury is the mind and communication and also the monkey mind which I think probably had one too many bananas this retrograde LOL!

Neptune is spiritual, but also rules illusions. It is time to distinguish the illusions from the truth. You may even have to jump head first into illusion in order to know what the truth really is. In that way it is a spiritual lesson true to Neptune.

Mars and the Sun are travelling together also, so there is a great desire to act. The energy has been fast and furious but also confused. New moon in Gemini on Tues the 16th, and on the same day, Saturn is retrograding back into Scorpio. Saturn can be quite a taskmaster, it says nope, you gotta do that thing over here that you skipped. Because no one can skip things they would rather not to get where they truly want to be. Scorpio--you have to go deeper, much deeper, inside yourself then you ever thought possible. Which brings me to..

Change is not to be feared. One of the reasons why we fear it so much is simply the unknown--the vast land of the future that our hearts sometimes fear that we will not be able to handle. In the midst of change, there is often chaos. Especially if it hits you unaware. But in the midst of chaos and all the mess, there is growth. Some kind of meaning drops into your awareness, and in hindsight, it all worked so perfectly. But when you are going through it, it can honestly just look like a hot mess. It may not make any sense. It may just hurt. But always we come out the other side, a changed person, and changed for the better, no matter how long it takes. One of our real fears is that we are not equipped for this ride, but nothing can be further from the truth. If we can believe we are equipped in concert with the divine, we can draw on strength we may not even have previously realized was there.

Client Story: One of my clients came to me at the point where she lost everything that mattered to her. It was not incremental, it was one hit of loss after another. Deaths of loved ones and family members. Loss of job. Loss of relationship. Just a time of pure pain. This is the tide of sweeping change that we all may fear. But she discovered her inner strength in this time, she drew on her spiritual practices to keep her head above water, she leaned on those who were there for her. And she not only survived, but thrived. In time, this is possible for us all.

If we are honest about changes in our life, there is a part of us that knows and is aware, and that is our intuition, the direct connection to our higher self. The stirrings of change begin on the levels of the inner landscape, and become part of our outer world reflection. If you want to change, go within. If you are dragged through change, go within.

Empower.

Your personal energy is not wisely used in fighting yourself. We fight the old when we refuse to just be with what it is. We may not want to feel that, but surrendering to it is truly the only way to get through it. The new that builds in you happens as a result of this process. The empowerment comes not from powering over the delicate hurts of your being with a mack truck, but from tenderly loving those parts enough not to fight them, so you can be born anew.

Awaken.

The nature of life itself is change. Note the seasons and the cycles of birth, transitions, and death, followed by new life. So there is nothing truly permanent about your experience here. If you flow with that, you are in the flow of life. And what happens when you are in that flow? You become the flow, you awaken to your true nature as the life itself that never dies, but only transforms.

Soul Connections & The Fear of Change

If a soul connection comes into your life, make no mistake, change has come knocking at your door. As Paul McCartney says:

"Someone's knockin' at the door

Somebody's ringin' the bell
Someone's knockin' at the door
Somebody's ringin' the bell
Do me a favor,
Open the door and let 'em in"

They keep knockin at the door of your heart. You want to let them in, but some part of you knows who is knocking--change. So many of us become frozen to the spot with fear. But we will still hear them knockin'.

What happens when you open the door? You look your fear of change in the face, and you see it was nothing to fear, deep down you know they are lovely and good even though you may have never met them before this moment.

But then--they come in and they start tearing the place up. They advise you to take out the garbage. At first you might be pissed, even. Why did I let you in? Why would I let this stranger in here to tear up my stuff and break down my illusions? To point out what I no longer need? Or maybe I have realized I have been holed up in this prison for so long, I might feel bad that I put myself here.

You want to kick them out. But you can't. Because in the middle of all of this, they stop, turn around, and with a tear in their eye, say that they love you and always have. Then they smile. Then you know, it's just you who came for a visit to clean house, and this person is not your enemy, but your friend.
