We're back on a new biweekly schedule! |
|
We hope you all had a great summer, but as fall get nearer, you're undoubtedly going to want to start planning your fall and winter sooner rather than later. Our CPD Medicine programming for the 2024 - 2025 season is going to be a great one, but there's a couple changes to how we do things.
First, this newsletter is changing to a biweekly schedule. This means, every two weeks the newsletter will hit your inbox instead of every week. Inbox clutter is something we all struggle with, and we hope this change will help make your mailbox look a little less busy.
Second, our newsletter will be a little more focused each week. Going forward, we will be doing our best highlight programs and information that's more pertinent and relevant. Sometimes that will mean talking about multiple programs in the upcoming weeks, and other times it will mean zooming in on one particular program with expanded details.
We are hopeful these changes will ensure that when you open up our newsletter you can be confident it's going to give you the information you need, in a more concise and dependable manner. We are looking forward to the 2024 - 2025 season, and can't wait to see you all at our programs.

We’ve changed our Year at a Glance! To better serve the medical professional community and increase accessibility, we’ve replaced our annual brochure with a new page on the CPD UManitoba website.
Here, you can view all our upcoming programs for the year in a concise monthly calendar that shows which programs are running on each date.
We will frequently update this page to reflect any changes to our programming throughout the year. Check back often to catch all the updated information.

This three-day workshop enhances the human side of healthcare by focusing on the role and application of dignity in all aspects of clinical practice.
On Day 1, we will examine the research, assessment tools, and clinical applications of dignity-conserving care. On Days 2 and 3, we will offer a detailed look at the clinical application of Dignity Therapy. If you want to enhance your ability to care for patients as individuals, reconnect with your initial motivation for working in healthcare, or expand your network of like-minded clinicians, this workshop is perfect for you.

The Canadian Acute Care of at-Risk Newborns Program (ACORN) teaches neonatal stabilization, supports the multidisciplinary team, and identifies and cares for babies who become unwell or are at risk of becoming unwell in the first few hours or days after birth. When necessary, the program also prepares for transport to a referral facility.
ACoRN introduces knowledge and skills sequentially through a case-based approach. It remains useful regardless of the condition’s complexity or how often a practitioner needs to manage specific conditions.
