We Are So Grateful!
Construction Update
Things may seem a little quiet leading up to our February 19th steel delivery. If we get any other news before then, we'll share it here.

We remain very grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.  We are very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our home campus.  Watch this space as we give thanks together that God is clearing the way for us to go forward.

Our beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Truth Matters: More Love, Please!
Highlights:

Lyrics from “Love Cover Me” by Gary Lynn Floyd

With every thought I make, every last breath I take,
May I be gracious and kind. Love, cover me.

Love, I invite you to open up this heart of mine.
Kindness wash over me. Love, cover me.

Love cover me, I will not be shaken.
Love cover me, may my heart awaken.
Love, cover me.

Love cover me, light any darkness, right every wrong.
Cause me to see love over hatred. Guide me to be faithful and strong.
Love, cover me.

Pat Warren, Co-President of the UCC Board and the "Valentines" --
Judy Fisher, Leddy Hammock, and Lydia Prayer Chaplain, Lydia Muar
Last Sunday's Shining Words:

God “You, who dwell in the shelter of the Most High, who abide in the shade of the Almighty, say to the LORD, 'My refuge and fortress, my God in whom I trust'" (Ps 91:1-2).

Love, cover me, I will not be shaken.
Annual Membership Meeting - Sunday, February 22
Our UCC Annual Membership Meeting will be held right after the service (about 12:15 PM) on Sunday, Feb. 22 at Discovery Academy.

Due to the special circumstances around the expected commencement of construction. All of our sitting elected Board Members voluntarily stayed in place to provide consistency through the construction of our new Church Home. Therefore, Board Officers will stay in place this year and we expect to resume regular annual election of Board officers in February, 2027, one year hence, when our Nominating Committee shall have chosen two more Voting Members as new candidates for our Board.

Our UCC Board of Directors:
Co-Presidents of Leadership Development: Pat Warren (also Volunteers on our Tech Team and Accounting Review Team) and Grant Dansby (also volunteering on our Music Team);
President of Prosperity (Treasurer): Mary Ann Westmark;
President of Communications (Secretary): Nancy Simmons;
President of Service: June Gobern;
President of Hospitality: Randy Jenkins;
and Sr. Minister, Leddy Hammock.

We treasure the democratic process and understand that democracy is not self-activated, so we keep active. Our voices matter!

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening Spiritual Treatment
Wednesdays
7:00-7:30 PM
Livestream only (UCC Facebook Page)

Our Wed evening Prayer Services in the New Year from Jan. 7 until Ash Wednesday will be based on the classic Unity text, Beginning Again: A Guide To Taking A New Hold On Life, a self-help book by Frank B. Whitney that aims to guide readers through the process of starting over and rebuilding their lives. The book offers practical advice and exercises to help readers identify their goals and create a plan to achieve them. It also covers topics such as overcoming fear, building self-confidence, and dealing with setbacks. With a focus on personal growth and empowerment, Beginning Again is a helpful resource for anyone looking to make positive changes.

Frank B. Whitney was the first Editor of Unity's Daily Word magazine, which was first published in July of 1924 and circulated continuously to the present day, treasured by people of many faiths, the world over. Beginning with the first issue on July 1, 1924, Whitney wrote nearly all the messages and many of the poems in the issues for the first 14 years of its existence, until his passing in 1938. Whitney’s obituary in the Kansas City Star recalled, “The editor carried into his writings and work for the Unity School of Christianity a natural buoyancy and optimism.”

Healing Thought # 307
"Now, science is delving into hidden things, and it is found that they all arise in and are sustained by universal principles that are open to all [people] who seek to know and apply them…. Popular religion does not attempt to harmonize its fundamental facts with the findings of science, and in its ignorance it fights science and thinks that science is destroying the faith of the people in things spiritual. Anyone who will search for the science in religion and the religion in science will find that they harmonize and prove each other. The point of unity is the Spirit-mind common to both." (Charles Fillmore, Christian Healing).
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

"SCIENCE IS SACRED AND PRAYER IS PRACTICAL. LORD, GIVE US MORE LIGHT, MORE LOVE."

THANK YOU, GOD!
