| Let's Make a Difference on this Sunday! |
| Sunday, January 18
Lunch: 12:00 PM Projects Begin: 1:00 PM Temple B'nai Israel 1685 S Belcher Rd, Clearwater, 33764 (map)
Join the Belcher Road Interfaith Collective and many others as we build on the Legacy of Temple B’nai Israel’s Shelia Weinstock Mitzvah Day. We gather at different venues on the afternoon of January 18th to do all sorts of projects to make an impact on helping people and our planet. These projects for all ages and skills, include creating snack packs, hygiene packs, hospital visiting bags, no sew blankets for caring and foster kids, a garden planting project, and a community clean-up. There’s an optional noon lunch gathering at B’nai Israel and then each location will open at 1:00 PM for acts of caring and kindness.
UCC has been invited to participate at TBI since we don't have our own space yet.

| | | | Things may seem a little quiet leading up to our February 19th steel delivery. If we get any other news before then, we'll share it here.
We remain very grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of
love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.
We are very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our
home campus. Watch this space as we give thanks together that God is clearing the way for us to go forward.
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - The Grand Design |
|
Highlights:
Inspired by lyrics to “The Grand Design” by Greg Tamblyn:
“…We’re all threads in a tapestry, woven together, your life and mine, ‘till our hearts and roads are intertwined. The road of life may lead us far from where we all begin, but sooner or later, The hands of time weave us back in to the Grand Design.
Our path divides, we take our chances, and pray our loved ones will understand us…. We navigate by heart. But, in time, we come to learn that every road is part of the Grand Design....
We could rise up high, see the long road, how far we’ve come and where we’ll go, see how our pathway crosses the others, we know our much we need each other. In this living tapestry, each thread is someone’s road and one day, from a higher place, we may know the Grand Design.
It’s something I believe and now I find it comforts me. I’ve come to love the mystery.
The Grand Design is with us all along, a last goodbye, a newborn’s song, and, in the end, we all belong, to the Grand Design.”
*It was a real joy to have Fred Johnson with us this past Sunday! |

Last Sunday's Shining Words:
“I will awaken the dawn.... Be exalted, O God… let your glory be over all the earth” (Ps 58:8+11)
“Look to this day! Such is the salutation of the dawn” (Kalidasa,400 - 500 CE). |

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)
Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.
Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.
Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Wednesday Evening Spiritual Treatment |
|
Wednesdays
7:00-7:30 PM
Our
Wed evening Prayer Services in the New Year from Jan. 7 until Ash
Wednesday will be based on the classic Unity text, Beginning Again: A
Guide To Taking A New Hold On Life, a self-help book by Frank B. Whitney
that aims to guide readers through the process of starting over and
rebuilding their lives. The book offers practical advice and exercises
to help readers identify their goals and create a plan to achieve them.
It also covers topics such as overcoming fear, building self-confidence,
and dealing with setbacks. With a focus on personal growth and
empowerment, Beginning Again is a helpful resource for anyone looking to
make positive changes.
Frank B. Whitney was the first Editor of Unity's Daily Word magazine, which was first published in July of 1924 and circulated continuously to the present day, treasured by people of many faiths, the world over. Beginning with the first issue on July 1, 1924, Whitney wrote nearly all the messages and many of the poems in the issues for the first 14 years of its existence, until his passing in 1938. Whitney’s obituary in the Kansas City Star recalled, “The editor carried into his writings and work for the Unity School of Christianity a natural buoyancy and optimism.” |

“The weaver uses his loom. The product of the worker reveals the skill with which the tools have been employed…. You always find God to be the equipment that insures your success, … the way to your objective, the unrolling tapestry of life's endeavors…’ (Unity author, Imelda Shanklin, in her timeless classic, What Are You?). |
