 | Construction continues to move steadily forward as crews prepare the next phase of our foundation work.
The footings currently being constructed are substantially larger than the ones that were poured a little over a week ago, both in size and in the amount of reinforcing steel they require. As you can see from the photo above, these footings are quite large and involve an intricate network of reinforcing rebar designed to provide the strength needed to support key portions of the building. Because of their size and complexity, they are taking additional time to prepare for concrete placement. We are hopeful that these footings will be ready for concrete by the end of the week, although, as always, weather conditions will play a role in the schedule.
At the same time, crews continue installing the large underground stormwater piping system that will handle runoff from both the building and the surrounding property. These pipes extend along the entire east and west sides of the building and represent another important piece of the infrastructure that will serve our campus for many years to come.
While the visible changes from week to week may seem smaller right now, significant progress is taking place below ground. Every piece of rebar that is tied, every footing that is prepared, and every pipe that is installed brings us one step closer to seeing the walls of our new church home begin to rise.
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Nancy Peterson - Our Call to Radical Hospitality |
|
Highlights:
Inspired by lyrics to “I’ll Meet You where You Are” by Melinda Wood Allen & David Roth:
When days are not okay, we won’t pretend. If it’s not okay, it’s not the end.
We have come all this way together and we’ll keep growing together.
If God had hands, there’d only be one on your shoulder. If God could speak, the words would bless everything you do.
Whatever has happened has come to pass. We’ll meet together in a higher place. |

| Nancy was raised in Maine and was a long-time resident of Greater Boston. (Lifelong suffering Red Sox fan.) Relocating to St. Petersburg, Florida, in 2015, she oversaw her mother’s care for five years and lived the Alzheimer’s “long goodbye” experienced by patients and caregivers. This time was pivotal to her unfolding path to ministry. She interned as a hospital chaplain in Spring of 2024 at St. Joseph’s Hospital. Nancy was ordained a Unity Minister on June 1, 2026 following 3.5 years of study. |

Bring the Kids to Church Every Sunday!! |
|
After a long time coming, we’ve started something new—there’s now a kids table set up in the back every Sunday!
For this season, our services are all about being together as a family while we wait for our new building and dedicated kids spaces. It’s simple, but it feels like a really meaningful step forward.
Deanna has graciously stepped up to welcome and care for our kids each week. She’ll have coloring activities available, along with a couple of iPads for them to use. Kids are also welcome to bring a tablet or phone to enjoy quietly during the service.
A big thanks to Deanna for helping make this possible! |

Last Sunday's Shining Words:
"For freedom Christ set us free; so stand firm and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery…. For you were called for freedom…." (Galatians 5:1, 13)
I’m the one who’s walked. Now I’ll run, then fly! Now I’m free. So, you’re free. We are free! |

"Blessing for a Church"
"This is God's house. May we who come here not only find out about God, but find God. May there be beauty in this place, but especially may it be a place where men and women become aware of the beauty in themselves…. May whoever serves here serve pleasantly. May everyone come into this house in expectation and go with thanksgiving, and ... go feeling blessed. May this be such a house that Jesus Christ -- or any stranger, even one of the least -- would feel in it that he [or she] was with friends. Amen." --James Dillet Freeman
To Bless the Space Between us.
"May you be mindful of the eternal space Which holds the temporal landscapes of your life. May the ripples of your heart Always move outward with a clear frequency. May you sense the quiet, subtle neighborhood Of the invisible world that surrounds you..." --John O'Donohue |
