We Are So Grateful!
Construction Update
We signed the contract with TZ Architecture this morning. Next, the architect's structural engineer will begin working on confirming specs, so the steel supplier can get the steel for the footings and the foundation into production.

We remain very grateful for the steadfast faith of all those whose gifts of love and substance sustain our Church during this time of transition.  We are very glad to welcome old friends and new friends on Sundays on our home campus.  Watch this space as we give thanks together that God is clearing the way for us to go forward.

Our beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Holy Now
Highlights:

Lyrics to "Holy Now" by Peter Mayer

"When I was a [child] … we would go to church and pay attention … and everyone would kneel and bow. Today the only difference is, everything is holy now.”

“When I was in Sunday school, we would learn about the time
Moses split the sea in two, Jesus made the water wine.
And I remember feeling sad that miracles don’t happen still.
But now I can’t keep track, ‘cause everything’s a miracle.”

“It used to be a world half there, heaven’s second rate hand-me-down.
Now I walk it with a reverent air, ‘cause everything is holy now.”

This morning, outside I stood and saw a little red-winged bird,
Shining like a burning bush, singing like a scripture verse.
It made me want to bow my head. I remember when church let out.
How things have changed since then. Everything is holy now.

*Leddy was really wanting some Ricola on Sunday or maybe she was auditioning for a Ricola commercial
Last Sunday's Shining Words:

“We have come to know and to believe in the love God has for us. God is love” (I. Jn 4:16).

Every night will have its dawn. Hold this thought as you hold on: God’s love enfolds you.

What is Emotional Freedom Tapping (EFT)

Your body is more powerful than you may imagine, filled with life, energy, and a compelling ability for self-healing.

Like acupuncture and acupressure, Tapping is a set of techniques that utilize the body’s energy meridian points. You can stimulate these meridian points by tapping on them with your fingertips, literally tapping into your body’s own energy and healing power.

Gather with a great group of positive and supportive folks with healing in mind!

Teach Us to Pray was written by Charles Fillmore (Cofounder of the Unity Movement) and his second wife, Cora (a leader in Silent Unity and in Unity's Correspondence School and a beloved teacher of prayer).  Cora Fillmore contributed a large number of the affirmations, lesson plans, and instructional chapters in this volume. As we follow the lessons together, we see that prayer is not begging, but aligning our thoughts with God's ideas.  Leddy has compiled a unique series of twelve prayer services, embodying the essence of each of the twelve chapters of this fascinating study.

Join Leddy and experience the deep thoughts of Charles and Cora Fillmore every Wednesday evening through October.

Come, let us pray together!

Upcoming Interfaith Gathering
All Are Welcome & Encouraged to Attend
On October 23rd, the Jewish Federation of Florida's Gulf Coast will be showing the movie “Tragic Awakening” at Temple Ahavat Shalom in Palm Harbor.

The movie is a new look at the oldest hatred, a, post-October 7th film rethinking antisemitism’s roots, turning hatred into strength for Jewish identity and Western values.

The JFFGC is trying to get as many folks – Jewish or not – to see this important movie, so they are not charging anything to attend.

Healing Thought # 290
“When God completely occupies a life, then the earth-born shadows just disappear entirely, and we might add that all shadows are earth-born. So happiness becomes a state of mind that can be cultivated and increased. In the world about us there is more sun than clouds; there are more bright days than rainy days. So, why let shadows which will soon disappear crush us? When the shadows oppress us, we need only turn toward the light, turn to God.... There will be a way revealed to cross the Red Sea; somehow over every disappointment, there is a way and we will find it if we believe it, act as if we believe it, and look for it.... Remember, most of that which troubles us is mostly shadow; remember also that we see the shadows only when we turn away from the light. It all depends on the direction that we are looking.... By meeting these times bravely and overcoming them, we can make them into stepping stones for even better things, happier experiences. Remember that when we face the sun, our shadows fall behind us, but when we turn around our shadows fall in front of us. So we want to keep our faces towards the sun, to keep thinking about God, as Emmet Fox would say, instead of thinking about the problem; keep turning to the source of creativity, the source of happiness; keep in the flow of love, understanding, and forgiveness, of courage, of joy, of all that is good and true” (Eric Butterworth, Unity of NYC, ca 1975).
OUR WEEKLY AFFIRMATION:

"I KEEP MY MIND ON GOD, THE GOOD. I LOOK FOR THE SACRED LIGHT IN EVERYTHING AND I FIND IT EVERYWHERE.”
