Today we honor Juneteenth, a day that commemorates the end of slavery in the United States and celebrates the promise of freedom for all.
As a spiritual community, we affirm the divine worth of every person and recognize our shared connection as members of one human family. Juneteenth reminds us that when freedom, dignity, and opportunity expand for any of us, the whole community is enriched.
May this day inspire gratitude for those who persevered and sacrificed to shape a more just society a more just society and encourage us to continue building a world grounded in love, understanding, and respect.
