Today's Daily Word Gathering: I gather with others and feel close to God. |
| There
are many ways to share the energy of connection with friends and
family. Whether we communicate by phone, in writing, or on social media,
I treasure our connections and the opportunity to be in touch.
Gathering
in person is perhaps my favorite kind of connection. Just being in the
presence of those who are special to me makes my heart glad. Sharing
smiles and hugs and spending unhurried time together sharing stories is a
gift unlike any other.
No matter how I gather with my friends
and loved ones, I am grateful God is with us as the love and joy in our
hearts. When it is time for us to part company, I pray we carry that
love and joy for the days and years ahead. Time together is a gift, one
for which I am so very grateful.
For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there among them. (Matthew 18:20) |

Heart of the House: Thanksgiving Expressions of Gratitude
|
| Greetings UCC family!
As
many prepare their homes and hearts to welcome family and friends to
celebrate Thanksgiving, I want to share the words of Annie Rix Militz,
published in Both Riches and Honor, 1945:
“Each
home that is consecrated to this ministry of the Christ message and
healing becomes an example of purity and harmony to those seeking heaven
on the earth. Perhaps your ministry cannot yet be an open one, but it
can do a silent work by its hospitality, comfort, restfulness, and love.
The very walls can sing of goodness and truth. The common furniture can
caress us; the homely fare can give us sweetest satisfaction.”
Your Being brings Joy to the World.

| | I have so much to be grateful for! In 1999 when l first came to Unity, l was struggling with faith and confidence. Little did l know, the Unity path and teachings would redirect my negativity and give me and my dear Son the grace and light to navigate this world in more positive and joyful ways. We are so grateful for our church home...Leddy, Russ, and all we have come to love and embrace...we are so grateful for our church home! Mary Ann Westmark and Jono |

| | I'm reading a very old book called "The Unity Way of Life" by Marcus Bach. In it he says that a true Religion changes the person inside. Spiritual evolvement is the extension of inner faculties to such a degree that they are recognized as the Mind of God. This means that I will be studying, wondering and thinking for the rest of my life always seeking The Mind of Good. Nancy Simmons |
| | Good morning Leddy just a brief message. I practiced what you said about blessing things that aggravate me which was really quite a lot, I’m sad to say. I found it made a difference! Terri Gary

| | I am grateful to be in the company of people who have the willingness to strive to see more, hear more and thus understand more. I am grateful for the commitments they make every day to examine thoughts and actions and how those things can and do impact our world. The very willingness to even try to do this results in my being surrounded with friends who serve as wonderful teachers always. Even this, a personal statement of Gratitude, takes sharing of their hearts. A trusting sharing heart is an inspiring thing to me. For this, and so much more that has come to me from our UCC family I am grateful indeed. Lydia Muar, Prayer Chaplain

| | In the summer of 2022, after UCC had sold five of our seven acres, in
hopes of seeing our new Church home under construction, I was diagnosed
with stage four cancer, with a malignant tumor at the base of my spine.
In this season of 2023, the initial developer abandoned our contract
and we were told that the cancer had metastasized to the lung area. I
learned I'd have to repeat the treatments of another week of
chemotherapy and Keytruda and another 25 radiation treatments. Last
year at this time, we still had not attained our initial building permit
for the new Church. We followed the Unity teaching and gave thanks in
advance for the blessings we envisioned. Now, at Thanksgiving time in
2025, after scans every three months, no further cancer has appeared, we
have a great new contractor, and the City just issued our permit to
begin construction of our new Church home! Our hearts overflow with
gratitude for the prayer support and strong spiritual consciousness of
our Unity Family! Leddy Hammock, Sr Minister |

Join Leddy this evening during our live stream as she focuses on a blessing for the Thanksgiving meal. It will help center us as we get ready to focus on the good around us.
