Hi Friend,
If your sleep has not been great lately, I want to share something simple that has made a big difference for me.
I used to think sleep was just about going to bed at the right time.
But I have learned it is actually about how you spend the last part of your day.
If your mind is still active, if your body is still stimulated, or if your environment is full of noise and screens, it becomes harder to fully switch off.
So instead of trying to “force better sleep,” I started focusing on a simple wind-down routine.
Nothing complicated.
Just a few small changes in the last 30 to 60 minutes before bed:
I reduce bright lights where possible
I step away from screens earlier when I can
I slow my pace down intentionally
I give my mind something calm to settle into, like quiet time, reading or simply sitting still
Sometimes I also use calming scents in the background to help create a more relaxed environment, but the key is not the product or tool itself.
It is the routine around it.
What I noticed over time is that my body started to recognise the pattern.
Slow down → switch off → rest.
If your sleep is not where you want it to be, do not try to fix everything at once.
Start with just one change tonight.
Even 20 to 30 minutes of a calmer evening can make a noticeable difference over time.
Tomorrow I will share something slightly different that has helped me during the day when energy starts to drop.
For now, just focus on giving yourself a better ending to the day.
Regards,
Kevin
