And that’s because when I was first getting started as a writer, I did what a lot of beginning writers do:
I trolled job sites like Upwork looking for whatever work I could find.
And what I found were SEO copywriting gigs asking me to stuff roughly 700 keywords into a 500 word article. And paying me pennies per word for the privilege.
It was miserable, pain-in-the-butt work. And it soured me on the whole idea of SEO copywriting.
But, turns out my prejudice against SEO copywriting was misplaced.
In fact, SEO copywriting can make for a very lucrative writing business…
… if you know where to find clients who will pay you good fees. (Hint: don’t waste your time with job boards.)
