Subject: Three chapters left to complete NT; preparation for summer outreach; family Thanksgiving & Christmas outreach

We have an app now with 20 of the 27 books of the New Testament in 3 Roman languages. This screen snip shows Matthew 1:1-2 in Arli and Gurbet.

Thank you for your constant prayers and generous financial support for Bible translation. As of this writing, we only have three more chapters to consultant check to complete the entire New Testament in three languages: Arli, Chergash, and Gurbet! Praise God for his sustaining strength as we near the completion of this milestone, having started on this project in 2017. Please pray we can finish the New Testament well and in a timely fashion. Pray for the translators as they do a final read-through and multiple checks for spelling, formatting, cross-references, etc. Pray these three New Testaments can be printed and distributed in 2025. And pray for all of us on the three translation teams as we begin translating and checking the Old Testament next in these languages.

Our summer outreach VBS in Croatia last June

We are also recruiting, raising funds, and preparing to lead a team to Croatia in June and we covet your prayers for the following:

In addition to Pamala, Daniel, Ariela, and me (Todd), pray that God will raise up 7-8 others to come to Croatia with us June 18-28, 2025.
Pray for Pam as she writes the curriculum for this Vacation Bible School. She will choose and write the Bible story skits based on the early chapters of Luke since that is the only book of the Bible we have translated into the two Roma languages spoken in those villages, Bayash and Ludari. Pray for wisdom in choosing memory verses, songs, crafts, games, and object lesson themes for this VBS and a two-day teenager camp for Roma teens, who are too old for VBS (see pictures of last year’s VBS in Croatia left).
Pray for funding for each summer team member who would like to come. The cost will be around $2,800 per person. On the home front, we are enjoying the holidays with family, including Thanksgiving together (see pictures above). Pam and Ariela hosted an evangelistic Christmas party for Ariela’s friends with 11 in attendance (see photos below). And we look forward to having all the kids home as Jonathan (from northern California) and Matthew (from Atlanta) will be staying with us for two weeks.
