My (Pam’s) mom (Barbie Hughes), 93, has been rapidly declining within the last couple of months, having been hospitalized several times now. She has right ventricle (heart) failure and is now experiencing kidney issues related to the diuretics. She will continue to be hospitalized for the next week, most likely, in hopes of her kidneys recovering.
All three of my siblings/sisters (two from out of state) and I are together these few days to be with Mom, with some other out-of-state relatives visiting along the way. We had a beautiful time at the hospital late last night as we sang in harmony hymns and favorite songs with Mom chiming in as she was able. She’s ready to meet Jesus, but we may still have some time with her here first.
Please pray for strength, sleep, and comfort for her and our family members. We praise God for the wonderful doctors and staff at Belton Regional Medical Center. A particular prayer request is for our family, as we need time to continue preparations for our two-week mission trip to Croatia in four weeks with the team from our home church, CrossWay Bible Church.
Grateful for a wonderful mother, Pamala |
