Dear friends,
Thank you for praying for us. Here are a few new prayer requests:
1. Please pray for us and our missionary colleagues and leaders to have wisdom whether we should move from Hungary to Croatia, and if so, when. We will return to Budapest, Hungary, January 30, and are contemplating moving to Croatian, probably in March or April. The 5 Roma dialects we are doing Bible translation for are spoken in Croatia and Serbia, and the Roma translators I coach live anywhere from 3 to 9 hours by car from where we currently live in Budapest, Hungary. Moving to Croatia would put us much closer to the Roma translators, and cut down the need for Todd to travel, from 33% of his time, to about 11% of his time.
2. If we do move to Croatia, please pray for the Lord to provide a platform for us to receive visas. We have two opportunities we are exploring for ways we as foreigners can get visas to live in Croatia, but we need wisdom and there would be many details to work out.
3. Please pray for us as we continue to travel and speak at churches in Oklahoma, Missouri and Iowa through January, about Bible translation for the Roma.
4. Please pray for Todd as he continues to try to get caught up from about 3 months of administrative bookkeeping work which needs to be done for our mission work.
5. We are considering visiting Pioneers headquarters in Orlando for several days in January before we return to Hungary, but need to work out the details of the dates, travel details, meetings, etc. Please pray for the Lord's enablement and wisdom for all of that.
6. Pray for Todd as he works on formatting verse number placement in the Gospels in the Bayash, Chergash, Gurbet and Arli dialects in preparation for his visit to Croatia to meet with the Roma translators for work on checking and editing keywords with the translators next month.
