| | Thank you all so much for praying for us. Here are a few updated requests and answers to prayer:
1. Pray for Pamala as she is the speaker for a women's retreat for Fellowship Bible Church, Oskaloosa, IA, this Saturday. Pray for the Lord to enable her to speak His Word to the women, and for open, receptive and responsive hearts.
2. We enjoyed a great missions conference with friends at the Master's Community Church (Kansas City, KS) last weekend and we thank you for your prayers. 3. This Sunday (10/18) we will speak at Fellowship Bible Church, Oskaloosa, IA, then the following Sunday (10/25) at Dale Church, Centerville, IA. (This last one is an answer to prayer from our e-mail last week to be able to find a speaking engagement for that open date. We thank God for that answer to prayer.)
4. A dear missionary friend of ours, Jack Mitchell, who was on the Pioneers area leadership team over us in Budapest, Hungary, back when we lived in Bosnia, passed away yesterday. Please pray for special grace and strength for his wife, Karen, and praise God with us for Jack's legacy, a life well-lived to the glory of God.
5. Thank you for those of you who have been praying for our missionary colleague, Andrea, who has breast cancer. We have heard from her husband, Chris, that the surgery went well, and now they are waiting on the oncology report. Please pray for complete healing.
6. We are humbled and overwhelmed with your generosity in financial support including very large offerings from one church and one donor. We praise God that we have been receiving 110% of our monthly support budget. Praise God with us.
