August 2 Pray for stamina, efficiency, wisdom on our last day to pack & clean house before leaving for the US
August 3 Pray for today’s 3 flights, a very long travel day, Budapest to KC; for us & our luggage to arrive safely
August 4 Pray for rest & adjustment to time zone having just arrived in KC from Budapest; praise for Timothy & Kim picking us up
August 5 Praise God for dear friends donating a van to us; pray for it to serve well over many miles of upcoming travel
August 6 Praise for CrossWay Bible Church cleaning up & preparing the house & filling the pantry for our arrival!
August 7 Pray for rest and good health during this busy season of adjustment
August 8 Today is Ariela’s 6th birthday! Praise for sweet time with her cousins in KC all furlough
August 9 Pray for wisdom as we prepare our missions presentation for speaking at churches this year
August 10 Pray for us as we set up our home with things from our storage and visit the dentist
August 11 Praise God for friends taking care of our cats. Pray our friends will really enjoy them!
August 12 Today is Matthew’s 19th birthday! Pray he will always love the Lord with his heart, soul & mind
August 13 Pray for good visits with Timothy, Jonathan, & Todd’s parents & sister visiting in KC
August 14 Pray for Stephen & Elizabeth to experience God’s wisdom and peace as they navigate changes
August 15 Pray for Timothy for opportunity & finances to take more college classes & for a good local job in N. KC
August 16 Pray our older van will serve Matthew well while he is at school
August 17 Pray for Jonathan with work decisions he needs to make
August 18 Praise God for answering prayer with $560,000 Bible translation pledge from The Seed Company
August 19 Pray for good friends for Kirsten & for her to walk with the Lord whole heartedly & serve Him as Lord
August 20 Pray for Matthew to find a good church in Springfield & campus ministry at Missouri State
August 21 Pray for Matthew as he begins classes at Missouri State; for help in adjusting, for classes & for a local job
August 22 Pray we can be a blessing to the Hughes side of the family as we all gather in KC for a reunion this week
August 23 Praise that Pam’s sister’s family who lives abroad can also be back for their furlough!
August 24 Pray for wisdom in decisions for Pam’s parents’ as they need to move after 36 years and have care for Dad H.
August 25 Pray for Ariela to adjust well to our stay in the US; to continue to grow in her faith & love for Jesus
August 26 Praise God for providing friends to live in our rented house in Budapest while we are gone
August 27 Pray for us speaking at Cornerstone Evangelical Free Church, Williamsburg, IA this morning
August 28 Praise God for providing a place for us to live in KC for our 6-month home assignment
August 29 Pray for Daniel & Ariela to grow spiritually; to make good friends in the States
