Tennessee Legislators are increasingly discusses Governor Lee’s Special Session and Red Flag laws and there is clearly no support among conservative Republicans

In the last two weeks, Tennessee Firearms Association's Richard Archie has hosted several Tennessee Legislators in discussions where the Legislators were asked to express their thoughts about Governor Lee's insistence that the Legislature respond to a Special Session starting August 21, 2023, and that the Legislature enact a "Red Flag" law. Governor Lee has attempted to rebrand as a "temporary mental health order of protection" which is apparently an attempt to confuse voters.  However, these interviews indicate that Legislators are listening to their constituents and looking at the Constitutional protections, both of which call for the defeat of both a special session as well as any form of gun control that Governor Lee or the Democrats are wanting to enact.

Legislators who have spoken to voters through these interviews to date include (links are to the interviews) from most recent to oldest

Rep. Clay Doggett

Your involvement is critical to help stop Bill Lee's proposed Red Flag legislation.

Please take action now and help the TFALAC (a state political action committee) raise funds for its #RedFlagDown mission to produce radio spots, social media campaigns, and other "get out the word" measures to stop Bill Lee's insistence that the state of Tennessee should be taking guns away from lawful gun owners in violation of the Constitution.
