The Legislative leadership has announced that all bills have to be filed by January 30, 2023.  A few have been filed this week and we expect to see perhaps 50-70 more filed by January 30.

Of the bills filed this week, TFA is already reviewing each of the ones that appear relevant to 2nd and 10th Amendment issues and flagging them for monitoring and reporting.  Attached is the report of what has been filed through January 13, 2023.

So far, nothing on REAL Constitutional Carry, nothing on materially eliminating gun free zones and, frankly, nothing that seems to even acknowledge that the United States Supreme Court issued the Bruen decision in 2022 that has called into question many existing Tennessee statutes as unconstitutional under the Second Amendment
