When I arrived in Canada 25 years ago, I didn't know how much I would love this country! Beautiful landscape, amazing people and multi-cultural food! I was first introduced to canadian maple syrup in elementary school. I had no idea what this delicious syrup was until our school provided freshly made pancakes (also my first time eating it) for breakfast. Then... I learned about Maple syrup with Bacon. Mind = Blown! The sweet and savoury (see what I did there? 😉) combination was so tasty. I was hooked! To celebrate this national holiday, I naturally wanted to create something delicious that could incorporate canadian ingredients in honour of Canada day. The end result? Drunken Maple Bacon Wrapped Chicken, with all the flavour... AND zero hangover!!
