What we're reading this week.

We asked our Berlin-Peck librarians and staff what they're reading right now—and here's what they said!

Chi Running by Danny Dreyer
Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins
The Children's Blizzard by Melanie Benjamin
The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner
The Woman With the Blue Star by Pam Jenoff
Beth & Amy by Virginia Kantra

Cyndi: I am reading Chi Running by Danny Dreyer and putting it into action when I run. It basically gives you proper alignment when running and tells you to focus on this alignment, making adjustments as you run. I feel calm and more energized after a run than before and it feels like I am combining running with meditation. I can’t wait to finish the book and then read Chi Marathon!

Barbara: I read Pack Up the Moon by Kristan Higgins recently. It was really good.

Anne: I'm just finishing The Children's Blizzard by Melanie Benjamin. It was very good and satisfies the Historical but not WWII Challenge or the Ensemble Cast Challenge. I also just finished The Lost Apothecary by Sarah Penner and really liked that one too.

Laurie D: I'm reading The Woman With the Blue Star by Pam Jenoff and Beth & Amy by Virginia Kantra.

The Muralist by B. A. Shapiro
The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James
Survive the Night by Riley Sager
Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid
The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 by Garrett M. Graff
People Who Love to Eat Are Always the Best People by Julia Child

Kim: I’m enjoying The Muralist by B. A. Shapiro.

Mike: I'm in the middle of reading The Sun Down Motel by Simone St. James and Survive the Night by Riley Sager and LOVING both.

Carrie: I’m reading Malibu Rising by Taylor Jenkins Reid and can’t put it down. I’ve read everything by her and especially love her early novels. I’m listening to The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11 by Garrett M. Graff. Published in 2019, Library Journal describes it as an excellent oral history, providing a much-needed perspective of the events and aftermath. The audiobook won the 2020 Audie Audiobook of the Year.

Andrea: I just picked up Julia Child's People Who Love to Eat Are Always the Best People—inspired by one of our summer readers!

Next week's raffle!
