As a summer reader (and an all-year-round reader too) you probably don't need another reason to pick up a book—but you may not know just how good reading really is for you! Healthline's article Benefits of Reading Books: How It Can Positively Affect Your Life is an excellent exploration of how reading can strengthen your physical and mental health—from improved brain connectivity to reduced stress and lower blood pressure.

New ways to find your next read.
This year, the library has added a new database called NoveList, a powerful tool for discovering a great new book to read. You can pick from one of the recommended reads on the homepage, or use the search box at the top to search titles, authors, or subjects. When you search for a book, read-alikes will appear on the right side of the screen.
Plus, any book you discover using the NoveList database counts for the NoveList challenge!
