Summer Reading is only halfway through!

Graphic novels? What (and where) are they?

Graphic novels aren't just for superhero enthusiasts! Like regular novels, this form of illustration-based storytelling includes all sorts of genres, from fantasy to history, poetry, and even adaptations of classic novels. Memoirs are particularly popular in this format.

If you're already a fan of graphic novels, you may have noticed that our collection has disappeared! But never fear—the collection has simply moved to the Adult Fiction section, near the Aa–Ca books, just around the corner from the non-fiction DVDs.
