We're just about halfway through Summer Reading, and there's still plenty of time to explore different genres and styles of writing. I just started A Marvellous Light by Freya Marske, a fantasy romance—not my usual genre, but I'm loving it!

Looking for thrills?

Try Laurie's latest mystery and thriller booklist, which asks the question... would you rather be trapped with too much water (the sea) or not enough (the desert)?

Usually a fiction reader?

Give non-fiction a try! Carrie's tomato book list includes ten tomato-riffic books for your enjoyment. BookBub has a well-rounded book list on aging and longevity. AAA has a great list of travel books (not travel guides!) that will take you on an adventure right in your own home.

You can also dive into the deep end with the nonfiction tag on the library's GoodReads account, with over 350 books hand-picked by Berlin-Peck librarians!

There's no shame in reading shorter works—in fact, they can be just as touching and inspirational (or suspenseful and terrifying, if that's your thing).
