That's a wrap on Adult Summer Reading 2026!


We're ending the summer with a total of 274 readers and a combined reading total of 2455 books!


If you have any tickets left, remember to redeem them by end of day tomorrow, Saturday, August 22, at 4:00 pm. After that, we're putting the prize cart away until next year.

I wasn't able to attend the End of Summer Reading party, but Carrie and Laurie have told me they had a great time! They took a few photos (keep an eye on our Facebook page), but not too many—they were too busy having fun to stop and take pictures!

Top Summer Reads

Check out the top ten reads of the summer—technically the top eleven, thanks to a tie for tenth place. Theo of Golden was the knockout book of the summer, with a total of 19 readers!

Website Bugs & Features

Let's talk about the summer reading website.


Towards the end of the program, we noticed an uptick in duplicate entries. The duplicates were deleted manually, and we're working on a fix to prevent duplicates from happening at all next year.


What time is it?! The website was running in the wrong time zone, which means the program ended early. We fixed the time once we noticed, but our apologies if you experienced a brief outage yesterday.


Thank you to everyone who pointed out "bugs" in the website this year! If you noticed other problems, or have any feature requests, please let us know! You can call, email library@berlinpeck.org, or simply reply to this email.

Leaderboards

The Pepper Patch has finished the season in first place, followed by the Bee Society in second place and the Pear Posse in third place. The Apple Alliance is in fourth place, followed by the Ladybug League in fifth place. In a surprise last-minute upset, the Beet Syndicate finishes the year in sixth place, followed by the Butterfly Collective in seventh place.

pearlmsqueaks is our #1 Adult Summer Reading 2026 reader with a total of 82 books! TheRantingGnome is in close second place with 80 books (only two away!) szy09 has taken third place, followed by equintana in fourth place, ntine10 in fifth place, and Holly in sixth place. We end the year with a tie for seventh place between sharonkay and Beth. Finally, we have Terri in ninth place and morganh in tenth place.
