Week 9 of Summer Reading!

It's the 9th week of summer reading! We're up to 276 adult summer readers, with a total of 2519 books finished. Wow!

Prizes, prizes, prizes!

Congratulations to Hailey! With just 2 ticket in this raffle, Hailey is the winner of a gift card to T-Swirl Crepe (yum!) There are still two raffles left, and tons of great prizes on the prize cart, so keep reading!

Don't forget to register for the Reader's Retreat to enjoy your hard-won mocktails, cookies, and ice cream toppings! And of course, come socialize with other summer readers at your team's Meet Your Team event. Please note that we've moved the last three team events to Tuesday, August 19, at 6:30 pm.

Let's Swap

Did you know we have a Swap Shop coming up this Friday and Saturday? Held on a rotating two-year schedule, the Swap Shop offers a sustainable way to declutter. Each event features a different theme—this month, we're swapping office and school supplies.

If you have new or gently-used supplies you'd like to donate, please drop them off on Friday, 1:00 pm to 4:30 pm. Anyone who donates items will earn a ticket for Early Bird entry on Saturday.

Swap day is Saturday, 11:00 am (10:30 with an Early Bird ticket) to 1:00 pm. Pick out anything you'd like—it's all free!

Tired of "this year's best" and "summer beach reads" book lists? (What's IS a beach read, anyway?) Check out these oddly specific book lists!

Team Progress

The Book Besties and The Reading Rangers have joined The Book Worms at the finish line, with 395, 371, and 488 books respectively! The Underliners are at 336 books, followed by The Cliffhangers with 324 books. The Literary Legends have reached 306 books, and The Hidden Gems are at 298 books.

Leaderboard

pearlmsqueaks remains in first place, with equintana moving into second and calbain now in third. TheRantingGnome takes fourth, followed by szy09 in fifth. sharonkay and Cathy share sixth place, while ntine10 holds seventh. Beth is in eighth, and amjastern rounds out the list in ninth.
