Subject: Peer Gynt Bow Placement - A brand new resource
Hello Amazing Teachosauri!
Ever watch a student start a piece with beautiful bow placement, only to look down two measures later and find them drifting peacefully halfway over the fingerboard?
Teaching contact points can so easily turn into a game of endless reminders. Recently, I sat down to make a quick edit to my original bow placement videos, but as I looked at them, I realised a quick tweak wasn't going to cut it.
So I scrapped the edits entirely and rebuilt the resource from the ground up!
"Meet the Peer Gynt Bow Placement Suite"
This complete two-part bowing challenge is set to Edvard Grieg’s iconic orchestral score and turns technical bowing drills into an exciting game:
🤫 Level 1: Silent Bow Placement (Stealth Mode)
Students navigate the string zones completely silently alongside the full orchestra. You can thank me later... as I get older, I get easily overwhelmed by too much noise, so I needed something with zero sound anxiety! Your littlies build muscle memory, arm balance, and posture before ever drawing a stroke.
🎻 Level 2: Sound On! (Tone Zones & Contact Points)
Now we bring in the sound! Students float sul tasto in the Magical Forest, produce rich core tone in Dinosaur Happy Land, and dig into crunchy sul ponticello behind the bridge. Yay! No more constant reminding: students take total ownership of their sound because it feels like a game.
The new suite is live on the hub now, complete with teacher tips ready for your next lesson.
I can't wait to hear how your students react when you launch "Stealth Mode" in your studio! Hit reply or leave a review on the page. Yayyyy
Warmly,
Laura
