Subject: October Resource-of-the-Month: Spooky Wrist Portal Song
A mysterious, swirling galaxy right inside the palm of a tiny left hand.
October is the perfect time to bring a little imaginative magic into the studio, without making our littlest students feel genuinely spooked.
This month’s free track, Portal of Dreams, tackles a notoriously tricky habit: the collapsed, pancake wrist.
Instead of constantly reminding them to "fix their wrist," we turn it into a game of ultimate stakes.
When the wrist is softly aligned, a magic portal opens, letting their dreams run free. But the moment the wrist collapses against the wood? *Whoosh.* The entire dream world gets sucked right back inside.
A quick kinaesthetic cue for lessons: Before turning on the music, have your student touch the scroll of their violin and gently release it to find that supple, open space. The audio track features a distinct, dramatic sweeping sound when the portal closes. This makes it incredibly easy for kids to physically feel the difference between tension and absolute freedom.
Happy dream-catching in your lessons this week!
Warmly,
Laura
