Thank you for being part of the Participation Network over the last year. We will be in touch soon to share plans for our next Participation Network Gathering event.


In the meantime, we are pleased to share the report from our latest event in June, Thinking Outside the Tick Box.

Reminder - at the end of the year, we shared 3 new videos created at the June event. These new resources support understanding of what participation means, the importance of understanding rights, and the benefits of being part of the Participation Network. Please share them freely with others through your work.

We would like to share a new vacancy for a Participation Worker on behalf of The Fostering Network. You can get all the details at the link below.


Participation Worker - Scotland (full time) vacancy with The Fostering Network



And 2 new opportunities from Scottish Women’s Aid.

 

“Scottish Women’s Aid have been involved in two projects in which we would love to get some participants who had been through child contact as a child and are now an adult. Participants would be completely anonymised and remunerated for both opportunities, but they are entirely voluntary and absolutely no pressure to take part in either or both. The first project is a potential documentary discussing child contact issues. The second is a more long term project where we have been funded to develop a toolkit for Sheriffs to support them in making safe child contact decisions. If anyone in the network feels they are applicable or would know of a participant who would be happy to participate, please do feel free to shoot me an email (muna.ali@womensaid.scot) and I can provide further details and answer any questions!”
