Quilt Raffle to Benefit Abben Cancer Center
As temperatures turn cooler, it’s the perfect time to try your luck to win a gorgeous, snuggly quilt, which also signifies support for breast cancer patients and survivors.

The Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation is hosting a quilt raffle to raise awareness and dollars to benefit patients and families receiving care at Abben Cancer Center of Spencer Hospital. This unique quilt was created using t-shirts designs from previous Spencer Breast Cancer Awareness Walks, and lovingly stitched together by a local cancer survivor.

The quilt is being raffled through October – National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Tickets can be purchased for $10 each or three for $25. Tickets are available at Spencer Hospital Gift Shop throughout October and also available wherever the quilt is being displayed which rotates to various locations throughout the month. Currently the quilt and tickets are available at Northwest Bank through Oct. 20, then Del’s Garden Center from Oct. 20-30. The winner will be announced November 1, 2017.
Margaret Molitor: Iowa Hospital Hero
Let the fun continue!

Margaret is pictured with hospital president Bill Bumgarner who introduced her and Jim Kelly, pro football Hall of Fame inductee and Wednesday keynote speaker, who presented Margaret with her award. Margaret is known for her skill, dedication, compassion, singing talents and for finding ways to make her patients smile, often with the gift of a little toy duck. Keeping with tradition, she presented Kelly a doctor duck as he shook her hand.
