Women: It's Your Week to Focus on Your Health
The 19th annual National Women's Health Week kicked off on Mother's Day, May 13, and is celebrated through May 19, 2018. The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women’s Health leads National Women’s Health Week to encourage all women to be as healthy as possible.

During National Women's Health Week each year millions of women take steps to improve their health. We encourage you to be one of those millions. Make your health a priority and if you aren’t already, take steps to build positive health habits for life.

‘Golf for a Cure' raises $2,800 for Abben Cancer Center
The Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation recently received a contribution of $2,800 in support of cancer care for the Abben Cancer Center. The gift was provided through proceeds raised during the annual Golf for a Cure tournament held May 4th at Emerald Hills Golf Club in Okoboji.

“This year was another great success,” said Donna Janssen, a two-time cancer survivor, who co-chairs the annual event with Judy Wendell and Kim Butler. “Whatever we can do to help those in need of cancer care is why we work so hard. We are lucky to have compassionate care so close to home.”
