Winter Break Flu Vaccination Clinic Planned
As anticipated, the flu has hit northwest Iowa with a few cases recently diagnosed locallyTo increase the convenience of the flu vaccine, Avera Medical Group Spencer and Clay County Public Health have teamed up to offer a special flu vaccination clinic over holiday break to catch those college students home for the holidays!
 
Blessed are Those Who Mourn

Your Gift Can Save a Life
When Joel Wassom, Spencer Hospital employee and volunteer EMT, suffered a heart attack at age 46, he appreciated the expertise and quick response of Spencer Hospital’s emergency team. As a faithful donor to the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation, he also appreciates how his charitable dollars are used to benefit friends and neighbors by providing access to enhanced healthcare services. This giving season, the Foundation is raising funds for two pieces of equipment which will benefit patients experiencing cardiac issues, the Lucas Compression System which helps provide automatic, consistent chest compressions, and a wi-fi hot spot for the ambulance fleet, providing the ability for emergency room personnel to study the cardiac monitor while the patient is en route to receiving additional care.
