Survivors' Day at Arts on Grand
Survivor's Day provides an opportunity for all people living with a history of cancer or currently undergoing cancer care to connect with each other, celebrate milestones and recognize those who have supported them along the way. “National Cancer Survivors Day is a celebration for anyone who has survived, an inspiration for those recently diagnosed, a gathering of support for loved ones and an outreach to the community,” explained Kristy Connor, social worker serving Abben Cancer Center’s patients and families.

Garden of Life
Community members are invited to join in creating the annual Garden of Life in Spencer Hospital’s Grand Avenue Park. Each donation given in memory of a loved one or in honor of a special caregiver to the Spencer Regional Healthcare Foundation and Hospice of Spencer Hospital during the Garden of Life campaign will be represented by a blooming plant in the hospital park.
Child Seat Safety Check
How certain are you that your child is the safest they can be while riding in the car? With car crashes being a leading cause of death for children 1 to 12 years old in the United States, it’s very important to make sure your child is in the correct safety seat to accommodate their growing bodies.

Occupational Therapy Celebrates 100 Years
Occupational therapy is skilled treatment that helps individuals achieve independence in all facets of their lives. It gives people the "skills for the job of living" necessary for independent and satisfying lives. Spencer Hospital’s occupational therapists provide care at the hospital for both inpatients and outpatients and also provide outpatient therapy services at Sioux Rapids Family Care.
