Behind the scenes, Silver Oak has spent years refining its barrel program. Winemaker Nate Weis conducted exhaustive experiments with American oak seasoning to find the perfect balance. The barrels used for the 2019 vintage were seasoned for 24 months and toasted for 90 minutes, a combination that enhances vanillin character and delivers seamless tannin integration without overwhelming the fruit.
The result is classic Silver Oak, but dialed in with even greater precision.
