Here's a little personal backstory... This book and workbook came out of my 9 years in practice as a Jungian Hypnotherapist and women's support group facilitator. Though I wrote the book and developed the exercises, I had never personally worked all the exercises. In writing. In order. For myself.
During the time we all shared the collective experience of Covid, like so many of you I also had serious personal challenges. I went thru embezzlement, multiple betrayals, online defamation and being majorly short-staffed. These were the outer manifestations of my multiple hideous personal Heartbreak/Saturn progressions. I needed personal support, but I didn't have the time/energy/bandwidth to go thru the process it would have taken to find the right therapist then.
There are many fabulous therapists out there, but finding the right person just felt like a bridge too far at that time. All I was doing basically was working for survival, and crying. So one day I printed out my own Build Your Dream Life workbook. And for the very first time I DID alllllllllll the exercises for myself.
The thing about actually doing written exercises is the same thing as about toothbrushes, just having the thing sitting over there is not enough. You have to actually DO THE ACTION PART to get the benefit. Even after the decades of psychotherapy and other self-work I've done, it turned out I got A LOT of benefit from doing these exercises. They helped to keep me afloat, gave me big insights, and ultimately helped to dig me out.
HEADS UP THO: If you are clinically depressed, dealing with a potentially life-threatening addiction, or considering self-harm, this book and workbook WILL NOT sub for help from a licensed psychotherapist or treatment center. Even when I was in active practice, I understood my limits and who to refer out. If you need pro help, find a way to get it if you possibly can. Call a Mental Health hotline. Anything.
But if you are functioning pretty well and just want to be happier, clearer, less self-sabotaging, and therefore more able to manifest your dreams, grab these books while they're free.
And do the work. The only way to get a lot out of something is to put a lot in. Investing in yourself is the best investment you'll ever make.
