Midwinter… Our bodies can’t help but hear the invitation to echo the natural world: Rest… Let everything rest… Simplify… Put down efforts… Be silent… Be still.
While 3-D screams for outer involvement: Make it happen. Do the things. Do them instead of rest, do them on top of your normal overwhelm. Do all the extras that make the “magic of the holidays.” And clean up all that’s left behind when it’s over, form and energy.
The brave light lanterns and set out on nighttime Persephone/Shaman journeys, learning their Shadow lessons, bringing up buried treasures from the depths of their underworlds.
Navigate as you can. Different stages of life invite different responses. Even if you are mostly lighting candles for others... Light at least one candle for yourself.
Light. Warmth. Hope. Stirrings of new life. Tomorrow. Dawn.
I hope that sometimes I can be the Light for you. Sometimes you are the Light for me. Your love and support and the duty I feel to the world becomes LIGHT during my own longest nights. Thank you.
May you be nurtured and held safe and beloved in your seasons of darkness. May you be robed and crowned in all glory during your seasons of LIGHT.
May all be blessed. May all be blessed. May all be blessed.
I love you. I am so grateful you are here, and that we are walking together.
In gratitude. With humility. |
