Israel launched attacks on 12 targets in Syria after it said Iran/Hezbollah sent a military drone into its airspace Saturday.
An IDF F-16 fighter involved in the strikes came under fire from Syrian anti-aircraft missiles and crashed in Northern Israel.
The drone is reported to have been shot down by an IDF attack helicopter.
This is the most serious confrontation between Israel and Iran/Hezbollah since the start of the Syrian civil war in 2011.
A new security message is expected from the U.S. Embassy.
