SMS Alert Text:

Multiple European airlines receiving bomb threats today, leading to diversions, inspections, temp airport disruptions, and one military escort. Vigilance urged.

Supplemental Info:

SITREP

Multiple commercial flights in Europe received suspected bomb threats on November 3, 2026. The reports resulted in diversions, security inspections, temporary airport disruptions, and at least one military escort by the Italian Air Force. No explosives have been found in completed checks. It has not been determined whether the incidents are linked.

Key Incidents

Ryanair (Lisbon → Rome Fiumicino & Dublin → Rome Fiumicino): Searched after anonymous tips. Dublin flight escorted by Italian Air Force. Alerts cleared; no devices found.

LOT Polish (London Heathrow → Warsaw): Diverted to Warsaw-Modlin; airport temporarily closed for checks. No device found; airport reopened.

SAS (Copenhagen → Warsaw Chopin): Landed as scheduled and inspected. No device found.

Ryanair (Manchester → Murcia, Spain): Inspected after landing. No explosives found.

Wizz Air (Bergamo → Sofia) and Ryanair (Dublin → Sofia): Inspected after landing. Bulgarian authorities confirmed no explosives. (Earlier reports of an Israel-origin flight to Sofia appear to have been inaccurate.)

These follow the November 2 Wizz Air (London Luton → Sofia) diversion to Budapest, also a hoax, escorted by a Hungarian fighter jet.

Status

All affected aircraft landed safely. Security protocols were implemented at the relevant airports. The volume of anonymous tips in a short period remains notable, though all completed inspections have returned negative results, and operations are returning to normal. No group has claimed responsibility.

Passengers on European routes should anticipate possible additional screening, delays, or temporary holds. While at the airport, remain watchful of your surroundings, including unattended bags, unusual behavior, or activity that appears out of place. Report any concerns promptly to airport security or law enforcement. Standard vigilance is advised.
