Important Information for Our Supporters

At SEED Madagascar, we believe it is important to be open and transparent whenever an issue may affect information entrusted to us.

We wanted to share an important update with our supporters regarding a recent cyber security incident involving Beacon CRM, one of our trusted suppliers that we use to manage supporter records.

Beacon has informed us that it experienced unauthorised access to its systems, which may have affected some of the information held within its CRM. This may include names, postal addresses, email addresses, telephone numbers and records of interactions with SEED Madagascar. Beacon’s investigation is ongoing, and we are working closely with them to understand the situation fully.

At this stage, there is no evidence that supporter information has been used fraudulently. We would also like to reassure supporters that we do not store payment card or bank account details through Beacon CRM, and there is currently no evidence that any financial information has been affected.

As a precaution, we encourage supporters to remain alert to any unexpected communications requesting personal information. SEED Madagascar will never ask you to provide passwords, payment details or other sensitive information by email, text message or telephone. We have reported the incident to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), reviewed our security measures, and will continue to monitor the situation closely alongside Beacon. Further updates will be shared on our website as more information becomes available.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@seedmadagascar.org.

Thank you for your continued trust and support.
