I discovered something weird about myself.
If I don't go outside to do my spiritual practice and stretches, I don't seem to get them done at all.
Let me explain.
Every morning, I have the same routine: spiritual exercises and stretches for a shoulder injury I've had since high school.
When I step outside, find my spot, and create that dedicated space?
It triggers in my brain that this is what I'm supposed to be doing.
But if I try to do the same routine inside my house?
I get sidetracked.
Check my phone. Check my email. Find a dozen "urgent" things that suddenly need my attention.
The exact same practice. Completely different results.
The only difference? The structure.
Outside, there's nothing to distract me. It's just me, the practice, and the space I've created for it.
Inside, I'm surrounded by all the things that pull my attention in different directions.
Here's the lesson:
Environment and structure matter more than motivation.
You can have all the willpower in the world, but if you're trying to build a skill in the middle of chaos, you'll struggle.
This applies to everything.
Developing any meaningful skill. Building a business. Developing your spiritual practice.
Most people fail not because they lack motivation, but because they lack structure.
They try to "learn spirituality" without breaking it down.
They attempt to "get in shape" without specific tasks.
They want to "build a business" without clear sub-skills to focus on.
It's overwhelming. So they quit.
But what if you could break any complex skill into 5 core sub-skills?
What if you could focus on one specific task at a time instead of the entire mountain?
What if you could make progress fun by earning XP for each small win?
That's exactly what I'm building with Zenspire.
It takes any skill you want to develop and breaks it down into manageable pieces.
Instead of getting overwhelmed by the big picture, you focus on one task, complete it, earn XP, and build momentum.
Just like creating the right space for my morning practice.
You can actually download and start using the app right now.
Fair warning: there might be some bugs since it's still in development.
If you do try it out, please let me know what you think and if you run into any issues. I'll try to get them fixed as quickly as possible.
Sometimes the smallest change in structure creates the biggest change in results.
