This is the second email in our series on building lasting
confidence.
In the last email we looked at just what confidence is and
why we don’t have it. Today we will look at a couple of other pieces.
Building Confidence..
Normal, healthy fear is a good thing, but letting your fear
rob you of your dream is not. Fear usually exists because you're trying
something new and stretching your comfort zone.
The best way to combat this fear, is to just jump in and
start working towards your goals.
Your self-confidence will start to rise as soon as you take
the first steps toward achieving one of your dreams. The more steps you take,
the more your self-confidence will grow because you are taking action.
Barriers to Your Progress
Why is it so difficult for us, as human beings to change unhealthy
habits or negative states of mind and negative behavior? We actually get many
benefits from our negative habits, that we don't acknowledge or might not be
aware of.
What payoffs are you getting from your negative habits? It isn't easy to recognize how you might be
sabotaging your self-confidence but it is important. Letting go of these old
payoffs is the road to gaining the confidence that will satisfy you and give
you a truly fulfilling life.
