MARINE PROVISION SPECIALIST COURSE


Improve operational efficiency as they gain better understanding of logistics terminologies and processes. Staff from other departments can also gain a better understanding of the marine logistics business which will enhance their contribution to the business.

At the end of this course, the participants will be able to:
  1. Communicate and coordinate with the customer to establish the extent and scope of marine logistics activities involved.
  2. Liaise, plan, organize and schedule delivery of products to the site and vessel.
  3. Ensure all incoming transit, care-off items, and off-landed cargoes are checked and inspected for quality status; and report any damage, deterioration, and discrepancy found to the customer.
  4. Understand and apply INCOTERMS 2010 and multimodal transportation and documentation.



Learn to build and maintain better relationships with customers, and ship crew. Further your skills in planning, organizing and delivery of products and services to and from vessels. Ensure compliance with safety requirements of working over and near water, at ports, and boarding vessels at sea. Meet regulatory requirements in forklift safety and vehicle operations. 

At the end of this course, the participants will be able to: 
  1. Expedite the process of collecting and delivering on vessels and warehouse
  2. Deliver supplies on board vessels and ensure supplies are properly checked and received
  3. Ensure transit, care-off items and off-landed cargoes are stored in appropriate storage conditions and inventoried
  4. Determine and manage hazardous, dangerous and harmful products, substances, chemicals and compounds in the supply-chain management process
  5. Prepare and ensure all necessary delivery documents, customs’ permit and declaration and clearance documentation to support and account for delivery of the transit, care-off items and off-landed cargoes to the vessel



Learn the know-how of handling, storing, and transporting provision products to and from vessels. 

Staff from other departments can also gain a better understanding of the Marine Provision Specialist role and contribute to being a customer centric organization.


At the end of this course, the participants will be able to: 
  1. Understand how to be in compliance with AVA and ISO 22001: 2005 food safety management systems
  2. Learn AVA cold store warehousing, handling practices, packing, storage, check and inspection of provision products including meat, fish, egg, vegetable and canned foods.
  3. Prepare appropriate documentation, manual and instructions for safe handling and delivery of provision products to the vessel. 
  4. Conduct incoming inspection of provision products meet and comply with the quality, legal and regulatory requirements. 
  5. Ensure all provision products are properly labelled, tagged and identified with product shelf-life and safety instructions to handle and dispose of damaged, deteriorated, expired and spoiled products.
