At the end of this course, the participants will be able to:
  1. Understand how to be in compliance with AVA and ISO 22001: 2005 food safety management systems
  2. Learn AVA cold store warehousing, handling practices, packing, storage, check and inspection of provision products including meat, fish, egg, vegetable and canned foods.
  3. Prepare appropriate documentation, manual and instructions for safe handling and delivery of provision products to the vessel. 
  4. Conduct incoming inspection of provision products meet and comply with the quality, legal and regulatory requirements. 
  5. Ensure all provision products are properly labelled, tagged and identified with product shelf-life and safety instructions to handle and dispose of damaged, deteriorated, expired and spoiled products.
