MARCHINGTON MUSIC CLUB

(SUNDAYS FROM 5.30PM)

WE STEAL FLYERS

SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST 5.30 PM

"We Steal Flyers" are an International Touring duo from the heart of Northumberland.

They have released and toured their albums throughout the UK and Europe and have sold over 5000 hard copies by hand as well as 1000's of downloads on-line.

They have performed at the prestigious SXSW Festival in America and over their years together have supported many big names in music.

They play an impressive 180 shows a year and have radio support across the world including the BBC in the UK.

All of this together with their massive on-line status and over 100,000 plays on spotify means that their own songs are heard and enjoyed by followers and friends in many places.

"We Steal Flyers" have developed their live shows with sets to include much loved cover songs with a stunning selection of their own self penned songs, this along with friendly and witty conversation will make for a show not to be missed.

Join them at The Dog and Partridge - Marchington on Sunday 26th August to see them in action.

TV SMITH (ADVERTS MAIN-MAN) SUNDAY 2ND SEPTEMBER 5.30 PM

TV Smith would be no stranger to anyone who loves the punk and alternative scene and with over 40 years in the business Tim has many studio albums and singles to his name with the Adverts, with other bands and now as a solo artist. Albums such as Crossing the Red Sea and singles such as Gary Gilmores Eyes, No Time To Be 21, One Chord Wonders and Bored Teenagers would stir memories of the punk scene in the late 70's but more recent works such as Only One Flavour, Lion and the Lamb, The Day We Caught the Big Fish and the Immortal Rich have attracted notable acclaim.

Sadly due to another commitment The Most Ugly Child have had to pull this gig and won’t be with until the new year, meantime watch this space next week to see their replacement!!

The last one was so good we thought we’d do it all over again. You loved JOHNNY VICTORY wait until you hear THE NYLON HEARTS!!

The Nylon Hearts are a female close harmony trio based in the North West of England.

Born out of a passion for all things vintage, they capture the glitz and glamour of a bygone era, captivating audiences with their sultry sounds and show-stopping outfits; they evoke sounds reminiscent of those iconic sweethearts from the past including artists such as The Andrews Sisters, Marilyn Monroe and Doris Day – right through to the present day. They create their own unique, vintage-inspired twists on modern hits too.

Their wide musical repertoire and performance experience ensures that they can create an engaging and highly entertaining show suitable for private parties or corporate events alike. Everything can be tailored to suit your personal requirements, from the specific genre of music right through to the style of performance they deliver.

The Nylon Hearts will definitely transport you back to a time where diamonds really were a girl’s best friend!

As you are probably aware we have finally after three years of haggling managed to secure the services of THE FOAMING PINTS to take us into 2019!. We have kept ticket prices down to the lowest we can get them remaining at £15.00 in advance as in previous years. We will put tickets on sale around September time, on a first come first served basis, available from the pub and the village shop!
