CLASSES

Song Studio is an opportunity for our community to come together through singing and provide a supportive environment to practice performing.  After a period of group singing and warm-up, this class focuses on individual performances from students. Song Studio is available as a class option for Premiere Plan members.

Taught by performance coach Stephanie Smith, Performance Practices is a class that helps you navigate the art of performance. 


In this class, you will learn:

  • Ways to manage performance anxiety.

  • How to communicate with your audience.

  • How to set yourself up for success as a performing artist.

All levels and all styles are welcome in this class.


One-off classes: $40/class.

7-week series: $280/series.

STUDIO GATHERINGS

May 3 from 2-5pm

Join us for our next studio gathering, featuring our private students and staff!


Our Studio Gatherings are an opportunity for our students to perform for each other, to share what they are learning in their music lessons, and for friends and family to support their loved ones. They are also a great opportunity for those new to our studio to come see what we're all about! Audiences will be invited to join in on the sing-a-long songs.


Good things to note:
WHEN: Wednesday May 3rd from 2-5p
WHERE: Resound NW 1532 SW Jefferson St.
WHO: Friends & family of our singers are most welcome, as is the general public. Our concerts are a great opportunity for prospective students to come and see what we do!
TICKETS: Free! No registration required, just come!

It's the show we all need right now! Sam Ray Kinney provides this awesome hour of humor to benefit the Newport Performing Arts Festival. Featuring a tribute to the late great Tom Lehrer, this show is just what the soul needs. Special guest Erin McGrath brings her own flavor of comedy to round out the program. Free to watch and attend. Donations to the Linda Knighten Scholarship Fund for NPAF are greatly appreciated!

UNBOUND: A BOOKISH MUSICAL | Spring 2026 Developmental Workshop

PSU Boiler Room Theatre | Portland, OR


unbound: a bookish musical returns this spring for its first full-length developmental reading — featuring new songs, new scenes, and expanded ensemble storytelling. This workshop presentation includes material from the entirety of Acts I and II and represents the most complete version of the show to date. This is an advanced staged reading — lightly staged, music-driven, and story-centered — offering audiences a chance to experience the work as it continues to grow.

The 11th season of the Northwest Piano Trio continues with a program of commissioned pieces specifically for this event! "Classical Broadway” is a collaboration between the Northwest Piano Trio and Ping & Woof Opera featuring guest artists Jocelyn Claire Thomas & Zachary Lenox performing the songs of Broadway. This event is free to attend and open to the public, but donations at the door and online are graciously accepted to help continue this wonderful community series.
