 On Thursday 9 May, after months of anticipation, the winners of the Re:locate Awards 2012/13 were presented with their trophies at this year’s fabulous Gala Awards Dinner. Guests – who attended in record numbers – represented blue-chip companies and household names, as well as businesses and professional bodies from across the relocation spectrum. Full report below. International broadcaster calls on government to “get serious about business and trade internationally” With the UK government struggling to revive a flat-lining economy, respected international broadcaster Stephen Cole offered an informed critique from a global perspective on how it could “increase the scale” of and “create strategy” to boost international trade at the Re:locate Awards in central London on Thursday.The Re:locate Awards celebrate excellence in global mobility practices. It was therefore fitting that Stephen Cole, senior news anchor at Al Jazeera TV and chair of the Institute of Business and Diplomacy, not only congratulated the winners, but also used their examples to call for more government action and leadership “outside this room” and for it “get serious” about boosting UK trading relations.
